Linda L. Cummings of Plainfield died Saturday. She was 74.
Born Sept. 11, 1938, in Plainfield, she was the daughter of James and Mae (Hand) Winsted. She married Don P. Cummings and he survives.
Mrs. Cummings was a homemaker and 30-year volunteer for the Ronald McDonald House. Her memberships included First Baptist Church of Plainfield and Phi Beta Psi Sorority.
Also surviving are two daughters, Dona M. (Rick) Huddleston and Wendy A. Cummings; a son, Dave M. (Andrea) Cummings; her mother; a brother, Max Winsted; a sister, Janice Weiss; two grandchildren, Ian and Elizabeth Cummings; two step-grandchildren, Heather Singley and Justin Huddleston; and five step-great grandchildren, Braxton, Cayden, and Alaina Singley and James and Nathaniel Huddleston.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Services are 10:30 a.m. May 2 in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield, where friends may call 4-8 p.m. May 1. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
