James C. Boesch Jr. died March 11 at his Islamorada, Fla., home.
He was 62 and had formerly resided in Plainfield.
Born Dec. 14, 1950, he was a son of Elizabeth Long Boesch and James C. Boesch Sr. His father died in 1983 and his mother died in 2007.
He graduated from Plainfield High School in 1968 and earned degrees from Vincennes University and Indiana University. He worked many years as a nuclear medicine technologist.
Mr. Boesch was a past president of the Plainfield Optimist Club. He was an avid runner, participating in numerous marathons and triathlons, including several Iron Man Triathlons.
Survivors include his daughters, Elizabeth “Betsy” Boesch and Jennifer Boesch; his partner, Brenda Bush; his ex-wife, Sheryl Heiliger Boesch; brothers Kirk Boesch, Charles Boesch, and David Boesch; sisters Mary Boesch Hamlin, Catherine Boesch Holsclaw, Janet Boesch Haley, and Amy Boesch Reno; and many in-laws, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Services are 7 p.m. Saturday at Hall-Baker Funeral Home in Plainfield.
Calling is for three hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
