Elizabeth Burns of Brownsburg

— Elizabeth Burns of Brownsburg died Friday. She was 88.

Born Aug. 21, 1924, in Georgetown, Ky., she was a daughter of the late Smith and Iva Karsner.

Mrs. Burns worked 20 years as a registered nurse for Hendricks Regional Health.

She attended Cornerstone Christian Church and belonged to Daughters of the American Revolution and the St. Vincent Alumni Association.

Survivors include daughters Marlene (Scott) Roellchen and Marianne (Bruce) Hofferth; grandchildren Matthew (Kelsey) Hofferth, Sarah (Scott) Ross, Micah (Ingrid) Hofferth, and Josh (Meg) Mitchell; and great-granddaughter Olivia Mitchell.

Preceding her in death was her husband, Raymond (Bud) Burns.

Services are 1 p.m. Monday at Matthews Mortuary in Brownsburg. Interment will be at Bethesda Cemetery.

Calling is for two hours prior to the service at the mortuary.
