Martha A. Beam Woods died Tuesday at her Greencastle home due to complications from cancer. She was 65.
Born Nov. 28, 1946, in Lebanon, she was a daughter of the late Delmar and Doris Tillet Hicks. She married Jerry Woods in 2006, and he survives.
Mrs. Woods was a 1971 graduate of Indiana University.
She was a member of Hazelwood Baptist Church where she was active in mission trips to Haiti and Mexico.
Additional survivors include daughters Pam Kroskie and husband Tim, Jeanelle VerWayne and husband Jeff, and Morgan Patten and husband Travis; a brother, Hugh Hicks; stepchildren Katherine Younger and husband Leon, Kevin Woods and wife Trish, Tammy Gist and husband David, Jodi McGlaun and husband Daniel, Jeremy Woods and wife Michelle, Candice Lighty and husband Joel, and Joshua Woods and wife Christina; and 28 grandchildren.
Services are 11 a.m. Monday at Hazelwood Baptist Church with the Rev. Steve Rich officiating. Interment will be at Maple Hill Cemetery in Plainfield.
Calling is from 1 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Hall-Baker Funeral Home in Plainfield.
