Russell A. Robbins Jr.

Russell A. Robbins Jr. of Pittsboro died Thursday at Hendricks Regional Health in Danville. He was 71.

Born Sept. 30, 1941, he was a son of the late Russell A. Robbins and Martha K. (Wereneke) Robbins.

Mr. Robbins worked for Allison Gas Turbine and was a member of the Indiana National Guard and St. Malachy Catholic Church.

Survivors include daughters Shannon L. Robbins, Janalyn S. Robbins, and Shawnna Thomas, all of Pittsboro; a son, Jason S. Robbins of LaPorte; a sister, Ann Jones of Greenwood; a brother, Donald Robbins of Lancaster County, Pa.; and grandsons Russell “Rusty” and Austin Thomas.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 38 years, Marilyn E. (Hoff) Robbins.

Services were Monday at David A. Hall Mortuary, 220 N. Maple St., Pittsboro. Interment will be at St. Malachy West Catholic Cemetery in Pittsboro.

Memorials may be made to Saint Malachy Catholic Church in Brownsburg.
