Iramae Smith, formerly of Pittsboro, died Oct. 30. She was 81.
Born Aug. 12, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Forrest and Jeannette Ray of North Salem. She married Norris Dee Smith of Royal Palm Beach, Fla. He survives. They were married for 63 years.
Mrs. Smith was a member of Pittsboro Christian Church.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by three daughters Jennifer Masariu (Michael) of Villa Park, Ill., Julie Wickersham (Michael) of Winchester, and Tina Knebel (Kevin) of Loxahatchee, Fla.; a sister, Julia Jean Lanier of Boca Raton, Fla.; seven grandchildren, Joshua (Timnah) Masariu of Zionsville, Aubrey (Ben) Wallick of Peoria, Ill., Dylan (Mitzi) Wickersham of Tampa, Fla., Lucas Wickersham of Del Rio, Texas, Olivia and Sophia Wickersham of Winchester, and Kelsey (Jonathan) Dickinson of Loxahatchee; two great-grandchildren Avery and Addyson Wallick of Peoria.
She was preceded in death by her siblings Ansel Ray of North Salem, Marion Ellison of Brownsburg, and Henry “Bud” Ray of Albuquerque, N.M.; and her great-grandson Noah Wallick.
Services will take place at 2 p.m. Nov. 3 at David A. Hall Mortuary in Pittsboro. Burial will follow at the Knights of Pythias Cemetery in Lizton.
Calling will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
