Chris L. Hunsinger

Chris L. Hunsinger of Elizabethtown died Feb. 21 at the University of Louisville Hospital. He was 57.

Mr. Hunsinger was a native of Rushville, grew up in Brownsburg, and was a graduate of Indiana University. He worked 32 years as the director of planning and zoning for Hardin County.

He was a member of the American Planning Association, the Audubon Society, and Vine Grove United Methodist Church. He was a Kentucky Colonel and attended Memorial United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Kathy Houston Hunsinger; a daughter, Anna (Brian) Bratta of Lansing, Mich.; parents Byron and Aleene Apple Hunsinger of Brownsburg; sisters Janene (Azar) Nader of Cincinnati and Jana (Kenny) Thompson of Brownsburg; and a granddaughter, Teagan Kathleen Bratta of Lansing, Mich.

Services are 5 p.m. Tuesday at Memorial United Methodist Church with the Rev. Matthew Kimmons officiating.

Calling is for two hours prior to the service at the church.

Brown Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
