Sandra J. Buis of Spencer died Monday morning at the Putnam County Hospital in Greencastle. She was 72.

Born July 7, 1940, in Marion County, she was a daughter of the late James and Olive Coleman. She married Gary Buis and he survives.

Mrs. Buis worked 35 years as a baker for DePauw University.

She was a member of the Cunot Baptist Church.

Additional survivors include a daughter, Cindy Scobee and husband Danny of Fillmore; sons Charles Buis and wife Rebecca of Coatesville, and Allen Buis of Carmel; a sister, Barbara Mundy of Cloverdale; 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were a son, Timothy L. Buis; a grandson, Billy Comer; a sister, Mary Sage; and foster parents Roy and Mary Bailey.

Services are 11 a.m. Friday at Bousley-Hays Funeral Home in Coatesville with the Rev. Wesley McClure officiating. Interment will follow at Coatesville Cemetery.

Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
