Kenneth S. Heiss Sr. of Danville died June 6. He was 80.
Born Feb. 26, 1934, in Indianapolis, he was a son of the late Archibald and Cordia (Barnes) Heiss. He married Donna Nicely on June 8, 1957, and she survives.
Mr. Heiss graduated in 1952 from Washington High School in Indianapolis. He worked 38 years as a job setter at Detroit Diesel Allisons Plant 5 before retiring in 1992.
He was a member of Danville Christian Church. He served as a sergeant in the Indiana National Guard and a Cerealin town committeeman.
Additional survivors include a son, Bill Heiss of Brownsburg; a daughter, Trish Carter of Danville; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death was a son, Kenneth S. Heiss Jr.
Services are 10 a.m. Friday at Danville Christian Church. Entombment will be in Floral Park Cemetery in Indianapolis.
