Unave Spears Beck

Unave Spears Beck of Clayton died Monday at St. Vincent Hospital. She was 74.

Born May 15, 1938, in Duffield, Va., she was a daughter of Zeb and Mary McCann Spears. She married Glen C. Beck on Sept. 2, 1955, and he survives.

Mrs. Beck was a homemaker and a member of the Kessler-Krest Baptist Church in Indianapolis.

Additional survivors include children Charles Beck (Jackie Mimms) of Clayton, Randy Beck (Beth) of Spencer, Reba Gipson of Cartersburg, and Linda Scott (Gregg) of Avon; brothers Junior Spears (Debbie) and Ozzie Spears; sisters Eula Mercer (Jim), Rose Ruddell (Bud), and Sue Dawes (Carl); grandchildren Terry, Jason, Ryan, John, Mary, Jason, Jennifer, Chris, Ashley, Whitney, and Ryan; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Services are 1 p.m. Saturday at Hall-Baker Funeral Home in Plainfield. Interment will follow at Clayton Cemetery.

Calling at the funeral home is from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday.
