Martha Jean (Shelton) Worick of Danville died Nov. 3 at the Danville Regional Rehabilitation Center, where she had been convalescing from surgery necessitated by a fall. She was 95.
Born Dec. 27, 1917, she was the daughter of Marvin Caldwell and Rose Pointer.
Mrs. Worick attended Central Normal College and Ball State Teachers College, and later taught school in Hendricks County. She also was a buyer for the Wm. H. Block Company and sold school books. In her spare time, with her son she owned several nightclubs.
Survivors include a daughter, Sally.
Her son, John C. Shelton, preceded her in death on Oct. 1, 2012.
There will be no formal funeral service but, at a later date, Jean’s friends will gather for a celebration of her life. Arrangements were entrusted to Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg.
