Carl B. Broman of Plainfield died April 26 at Sugar Grove Senior Living. He was 89.
Born May 13, 1923, in Silver Creek, Minn., he was a son of Carl J. and Hilda Johnson Broman. He was the widower of Verona Broman.
Mr. Broman was a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard. He worked 33 years as the radar chief for the Federal Aviation Administration in Indianapolis before retiring in 1979.
He was a member of the Plainfield United Methodist Church and Plainfield Elks Lodge No. 2186.
Survivors include his children, Carl R. Broman, Robert A. Broman, Karen Y. Taber, Susan R. Goodwin, Marlys D. Vaccari, and Craig B. Broman; 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Services are 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Plainfield United Methodist Church.
Calling is for an hour and a half prior to the service.
