Gregory Alan Scott “Scotty” died April 30 at his Danville home. He was 50.
Born March 9, 1963, at the Hendricks County Hospital, he was a son of Daniel R. Scott and Phyllis R. (Crane) Beck. He married Jessica Myers on Jan. 5, 1985, at Northview Christian Church, and she survives.
He had currently been employed with Citizen’s Energy Group and was a member of the Phi Delta Kappa Gamma Theta Fraternity. He served 19 years on the Danville Fire Department before retiring.
Mr. Scott was a freshman football coach for Danville for many years and had coached several of his children’s baseball, basketball, and softball teams. He enjoyed golfing, Sunday NASCAR races by the pool, watching Colts football, going to concerts, deer hunting, duck hunting, and camping at the farm.
Additional survivors include daughters Brittni Marie (Brian) Willis and Natalie Brooke Scott (Justin Horstman), all of Danville; a son, Brock Jordan Scott of Danville; his mother, Phyllis (Cliff) Beck of Texas; sisters Pat (George) Riggs of Virginia and Pam Greer of South Carolina; and grandchildren Amaya, Jaden, Cainnan, and Kya Willis and Landon Alan Horstman.
Calling is from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday at Baker Funeral Home in Danville. A Celebration of Life is set for 6:30 p.m. Saturday at the Phi Delta Kappa House.
