Margaret Pike Jessup

— Margaret Pike Jessup died Sunday at her Avon home. She was 94.

She was a daughter of the late L.L. and Bertha Pike of Plainfield, and the widow of George T. Jessup, to whom she had been married since 1939.

Mrs. Jessup was a homemaker and during World War II, and again from 1956 to ‘76, she worked at First National Bank of Plainfield, rising to the position of assistant vice-president.

She was a life-long member of the Plainfield Rebekah Lodge and, since 1940, of the Plainfield Christian Church.

Survivors include her children, Ida Wehrling of Noblesville, David (Tammy) Jessup of Fishers, and Daniel (Rebecca) Jessup of Martinsville; a sister, Rachel Gallenbeck of Flint, Mich.; 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were a grandson, Nick Wehrling; siblings Earl Pike, Elizabeth Eliott, Albert Pike, Esther Copeland, Joseph Pike, Howard Pike, Clarence Pike, and John Pike; and a brother-in-law, Richard Jessup.

Services are noon Wednesday at Plainfield Christian Church with the Rev. Steve White officiating.

Calling is for two hours prior to the service.

Hall-Baker Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
