David Alan Ericsson Sr. died Tuesday at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. He was 69.
Born Dec. 24, 1943, in Spokane, Wash., to Earl Eugene Ericsson and Rose (Rotter) Ericcson. He married Elizabeth Ann Marie “Betty” Wolf in Indianapolis on Dec. 23, 1965.
Mr. Ericsson was a 1961 graduate of Lemmon High School in Lemmon, S.D. He served in the Indiana National Guard from 1965-72. He retired from the Navistar International’s Indianapolis plant.
He attended Calvary Baptist Church in Wabash and was a former member of the Clayton Library Board in Clayton,.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Ericsson of Wabash; sons Eric (Danielle) Ericsson of Danville and David Ericsson Jr. of Wabash; a grandson, Ashton Ericsson of Danville; sisters Vickie (Tucker) Kane of Thunder Hawk, S.D., and VeRene (Robert) Potter of Lemmon, S.D.; and several nieces and nephews.
Services are 3 p.m. Feb. 14 at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Ave., Wabash, with the Rev. Matt Haynes officiating.
Calling is from 1 to 3 p.m. Feb. 13 at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation, Calvary Baptist Church, or the Honeywell House, in care of the funeral home.
