The Rev. Dr. Paul Keith Main of Greencastle died Dec. 6, 2012, at Mill Pond health Campus. He was 81 and had formerly resided in Indianapolis.
Born May 22, 1931, in Greenfield, he was a son of the late Clarence B. and Ruth Elnora Shields Main.
He was a 1949 graduate of Clayton High School, went on to graduate from Hanover College and Louisville Presbyterian Seminary, and received his doctorate from Indiana University.
Rev. Main preached at Presbyterian churches in Cincinnati, Greencastle, Roachdale, Groveland, and Jordan Village. He also worked in city planning for the City of Evansville and retired from the Indiana State Board of Health. He had also taught at IU.
Survivors include a son, Timothy K. Main of Indianapolis; a daughter, Michal J. Main of Grand Rapids, Mich.; a brother, Lyle B. Main of Portage, Mich.; a sister-in-law, Pat Main of Indianapolis; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were a brother, Kenneth P. Main, and sisters Juanita R. Stanley and Rosemary Main.
A memorial service is planned for 1 p.m. Jan. 12 at the Clayton Presbyterian Church with the Rev. David McDonald officiating. Calling is for an hour prior to the service.
Inurnment was at Crown Hill Cemetery in Indianapolis.
