Lois Virginia Carr of Plainfield died May 2. She was 83.
Born Aug. 22, 1930, in Champaign, Ill., she was the daughter of the late Charles and Zelma (Walker) Petticrew. She married Wallace “Wally” Car and he survives. They were married for 62 years.
Mrs. Carr was a homemaker. She loved to sew, quilt, and read. She was a charter member of St. Susanna Catholic Church in Plainfield.
Also surviving are her three sons, David (Laura), Gary, and Jeff (Lynn) Carr; two daughters, Vicki (Randy) Muncy, and Amy (Mike) Smith; and 12 grandchildren.
Also preceding her in death was a sister, Ruth Kujawa.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. May 10 in St. Susanna Catholic Church, 1210 E. Main St. in Plainfield. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery in Plainfield.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. May 9 in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home in Plainfield.
