Andrea Jo Hildebrand died Feb. 16. She was 31.
She was born Dec. 19, 1982, in Lafayette.
She is survived by her mother and stepfather, Deborah and Robert Barmore; sister, Emily (Walter) Gregory; nieces and nephews, Samantha, Benjamin, Elizabeth, and Zachary Gregory; and grandparents, Richard and Belva Burkett.
Mrs. Hildebrand was raised in Plainfield and graduated from Plainfield High School. She attended Ball State University for a year.
At age 20, she moved to Salt Lake City, Utah, in 2003, where she continued her education at the University of Utah and Webster State College. She earned an associate of science degree and became a certified pharmacy technician.
She worked as a lead pharmacy technician at Target. She had a passion for medicine, anatomy, and science. She dreamed of someday attending medical school.
In addition to the sciences, she had a love for art. Her particular talents were sketching, drawing, and painting. She even loved creating street art in chalk with the kids in her neighborhood.
A memorial gathering will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. May 3 in Hall-Baker Funeral Home in Plainfield.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be sent to the Best Friends Animal Shelter in her name on the website at www.bestfriends.org.
