Larry Maupin of Ormond Beach, Fla., and formerly of Indianapolis, died April 11. He was 68.
Born Jan. 31, 1946, he was the son of the late George and Lena Maupin of Plainfield. He married Florence (Brace) Mautin July 7, 2007, and she survives.
Mr. Maupin graduated from Plainfield High School in 1964. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He retired from Benedict Inn in Beach Grove in November of 2010. He also worked for Lowe’s for 10 years.
He was a member of American Legion Post 64 in Indianapolis.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Gina O’Dell of Indiana, Sandy (Chris) Owens of Rushville, Amy (Larry) Newbold of Tennessee; two step sons, Ricky Tessier of Ormond Beach and Thomas Milanoski of New York; sisters, Maxine Carter, Pauletta (David) Carlisle, Sue Drinson, Maida Miller, Betty Suhre; eight grandchildren; two great grandchildren; four step grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and several sister-in-laws and brother-in-laws.
Services will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. April 23 in Hummel Park, 1500 S. Center St. in Plainfield.
Atlantis Cremation in Daytona Beach, Fla., was entrusted with arrangements.
