Christopher G. Finchum of Pittsboro

Christopher G. Finchum of Pittsboro died Saturday evening in Louisville, Ky. He was 42.

Born Aug. 14, 1970, in Indianapolis, he was a son of David and Elena Finchum and the late David Finchum. He married Theresa Somerville on Aug. 9, 2008, and she survives.

Mr. Finchum was a collegiate swimmer and an occupational therapist. His talents ranged from painting to singing.

Additional survivors include siblings David Finchum Jr. and wife Cheryl and Carmelita Davis; five nephews and six great-nieces and great-nephews.

Preceding him in death was a sister, Deborah.

Services are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Pittsboro Baptist Church.

Calling is from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Matthews Mortuary in Brownsburg.
