Shirley “Joyce” (Woodcock) Goodlet died Monday at her Clayton home. She was 56.
Born Jan. 3, 1957, in Tipton, she was a daughter of the late William Gobel and Hallie Dee (Sowders) Woodcock. She married Robert “Bob” Goodlet on Aug. 19, 1978, and he survives.
Mrs. Goodlet was a 1978 graduate of Washington High School in Indianapolis. She worked 21 years as a hand assembly associate at SGI Bindery in Indianapolis.
She was an outdoor and motorcycle enthusiast and enjoyed riding the Harley Davidson with her husband. She also enjoyed NASCAR and music.
Additional survivors include a daughter, Mandi N. Goodlet of Plainfield; a granddaughter, Kendall S. Slover; brothers Paul Woodcock of Cloverdale, John, Gobel “Bubby,” and Chris Woodcock, all of Indianapolis; and a sister, Carolyn Woodcock of Indianapolis.
Preceding her in death was a sister, Dorothy “Dot” Cooksey.
Services are 3 p.m. Saturday at Weaver & Randolph Funeral Home in Danville.
