James Morris Humphrey of Paragon died Jan. 28. He was 69.
Born Dec. 1, 1944, in Dubre, Ky., he was the son of Reebie Mary Geralds Humphrey and the late James David Humphrey. He married Brenda Busbee on Aug. 17, 1979, and she survives.
Mr. Humphrey worked as a die press operator for 30 years at Herff Jones retiring as a supervisor in 2009. He was a “Jack of all trades” and loved woodworking.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by son, James Morris Humphrey Jr.; daughters, Susan Marie Troutman, Tonya Renee Humphrey Boling; brother, Earnie Fay Humphrey; sister, Betty Jean Hammer; granddaughters, Amber Rene Humphrey, Skye Humphrey, Kelly Nichole Boling, Stephanie Renee Stroud; two grandsons; and one great grandchild.
Services will be at 8 p.m. Jan. 31 at Hall-Baker Funeral Home in Plainfield. Burial will be in Dutch Creek Cemetery in Brukesville, Ky., at a later date.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until time of service in the funeral home.
