Regina M. Kallner died Friday at The Villages of Avon. She was 76 and had formerly resided in Frankfort.
Born Feb. 27, 1936, in Hardinsburg, Ky., she was a daughter of Jesse and Laura Pearl (Woodcock) Morgan. She married Charles E. Kallner on Feb. 5, 1954, at the First Christian Church in Frankfort and he survives.
Mrs. Kallner attended Frankfort High School. She earned a master beautician degree from Cosmetology College in 1962 and worked as a self-employed beautician.
The Kallners moved from Frankfort to Brownsburg in 1994.
She was a member of the Messiah Lutheran Church in Brownsburg, and was a former member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Frankfort where she taught Sunday school.
Mrs. Kallner enjoyed church activities and was a member of the Red Hat Ladies in Brownsburg.
Additional survivors include a daughter, Melinda “Mindy” (Ed) Anderson Wallis of Lafayette; a son, Casey (Kathy Heninger) Kallner of Ellettsville; grandchildren Jennifer (Ryan) Bell of Zionsville, Kristen (Matt) Hines of Noblesville, and Matthew Charles Kallner of Ellettsville; and a great-grandson, Kyler Ryan Bell.
Preceding her in death were a son, Daniel A. Kallner who died Nov. 27, 2009, and five brothers and a sister.
Services were Tuesday at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 2029 S. S.R. 39, Frankfort. Interment was at Green Lawn Memorial Park.
Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S. Main St., Frankfort, handled arrangements and is collecting memorial donations for the purchase of holding crosses, which will be distributed at Riley Children’s Hospital.
