Charles W. Berger died April 22. He was 69.
Born June 8, 1944, he was the son of the late Alphonse and Catherine Paffenberger Berger of Jasper. He married Muriel Hadley Berger and she survives. They were married for 31 years.
Mr. Berger retired from National Starch Chemical after 25 years as a transportation supervisor. He lived in Danville for 40 years.
He was involved with the Moose Lodge in Beech Grove and the American Legion in Jasper.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Keith Berger, Alicia (Anthony) Rea, Toby Shields, Todd (Jennifer) Shields, and Anthony Rea; grandchildren, Dallas, Abby, Carissa, Lucas, Tori, Emma, and Grant; brothers, Dave (Barbara) and Bud (Mary Jane) Berger; and sister, Mary Beth (Steve) Sleeth.
Services will be held at 4 p.m. April 26 in Conkle Funeral Home Avon Chapel.
Visitation will be from 3 p.m. until time of service in the funeral home.
