Hal Curtis Hull of Avon died Thursday at the age of 71.
He married Brenda Baughn and she preceded him in death.
Mr. Hull graduated in 1976 from Indiana University and earned his master's degree in 1979 from St. Francis in Ft. Wayne. He was vocation rehabilitation specialist for the Veterans Administration. He served in the Navy aboard the USS Coontz in Vietnam.
He was a life member of D.A.V. and a first commander of I.U.D.A.V. Other memberships included Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion, Indiana Historical Society, National Genealogy Society, and, since 1979, Avon United Methodist Church, where he served on the board of directors for the pastor parish.
Survivors include a son, Cory S. Hull of Avon; two daughters, Kelly (Eric) Wood of Brownsburg and Cathy (Brian) Sturm of Avon; three brothers, Norval, Darl, and Clarence Hull; three sisters, Janice Southern, Helen Shepler, and Ruth Williams; a sister-in-law, Pat Trainer; a brother-in-law, Terry Baughn; and grandchildren Dustin, Erica, Trey, Derek, Trystan, and Travis.
Five brothers, Gary Steven Hull, Charles Hull, Dean Hull, and Bernard and Lawrence Wilkerson, also preceded him in death.
Services are 11 a.m. Nov. 18 in Avon United Methodist Church, with visitation there 4-8 p.m. Nov. 17 and for one hour prior to services. Entombment will be in Westridge Park Cemetery.
