Rosemary Swisher of Lebanon

AVON — June 16, 2013

Rosemary Swisher of Lebanon died Sunday at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. She was 75.

Born June 22, 1937, in Vigo County, she was the daughter of the late Charles Lester and Evelina (Archer) Brush. She married Robert E. Swisher Nov. 24, 1956, at Whitestown Lutheran Church, and he survives.

Mrs. Swisher lived most of her adult life in the Dover area. She attended schools in Zionsville and Pike Township, graduating from Whitestown High School in 1955. She worked at Aero Drapery in Westfield and Pixie Playhouse in Lebanon.

Her memberships included Pleasant View Church, where she had served as a deaconess, worked with the youth group for many years, and taught AWANA.

Also surviving are her children, Cindy Griffith and husband Jeff of Brownsburg, Scott Swisher of Lebanon, and Kathy Linton of Speedway; grandchildren Abby Cornwell and husband Aaron of Jamestown, Jesse Linton of Lebanon, Cody Griffith and wife Mallory of Zionsville, Jake Linton of Asheville, N.C., and Reed Swisher of Lebanon; great-grandchildren Ashton Linton, Allie Cornwell, and Max Cornwell; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

A sister and brother-in-law, Pat and Dale Bowen, also preceded her in death. Two brothers and a sister died in infancy.

Services are 10:30 a.m. Friday in Pleasant View Church, 5295 W. S.R. 32, Lebanon, with Pastor Tom Evans officiating. Interment will follow at Pisgah Cemetery in Montgomery County. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the church. Myers Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
