Gerald “Jerry” Lee Dunz

Gerald “Jerry” Lee Dunz of Mooresville died suddenly Friday at St. Francis South Hospital in Indianapolis. He was 56.

Born Dec. 17, 1956, in Indianapolis, he was a son of the late Martin F. and Barbara JoAnn (Prescott) Dunz. He married Nita Sutton on Sept. 5, 1998, and she survives.

Mr. Dunz worked numerous jobs including working surveillance for RCA and Dow Agro Science for many years. He had a knack for cars and motorcycles, especially his copper and black Harley Davidson Fatboy. He enjoyed riding the bike and traveling to places such as the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and Lucas Oil Raceway.

Additional survivors include brothers Robert Dunz of Indianapolis, James Dunz of Fort Leonard Wood, Mo., and John Dunz of Greenfield; a sister, Heather Dunz of Shelbyville; his dog, Kujo Cooper; and children from a previous marriage, Joshua Michael Dunz of Indianapolis and April Dawn Hess of Acton.

Services were Tuesday at Carlisle– Branson Funeral Service & Crematory in Mooresville. Interment followed at White Lick Cemetery in Mooresville.
