James L. O’Connor Jr. of Greenwood died Monday. He was 47.
He had worked the past 10 ½ years at AT&T.
Mr. O’Connor enjoyed bowling. He and his partner, Bill Seprodi, were presented the first ABC National Championship since 1969, breaking the record by 150 pins on Sept. 15, 2000. Along with that came 17 perfect 300 games.
He also enjoyed playing golf and grilling out.
Survivors include his children, Nick and Kelli O’Connor; parents Mary and Jim O’Connor; a sister and brother-in-law, Shawn and Mike Burkhardt; nephews Gabe, Max, and Jack Burkhardt; his grandmother, Ruth O’Connor; the mother of his children, Julie O’Connor; nephews and a niece, Josh, Rachell, and Jake Noble; and many friends.
Services are 10 a.m. Saturday at Flanner and Buchanan-Decatur. Interment will be at Fairfield Friends Cemetery in Camby.
