Jay E. Robson of New Carlisle, Ohio, died Sunday. He was 71.
Born March 24, 1942, in Indianapolis, he was the son of the late Lyle and Helen (Bond) Robson.
Mr. Robson served in the Navy from 1961-64, a portion of that time aboard the U.S. Essex. HE worked 20 years for General Motors in skilled trades, retiring in 1993, then for Ford Motors in Indianapolis until 2000 when he left due to illness.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Janet Haviland Robson; a son, Blain Robson; a daughter, Teri Lynn and husband William Pickl; four grandchildren, Carl, Conrad, Corinne, and Cailey; two brothers, William Robson of Colorado and Curtis Robson of Indiana; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A son, Chad Robson, and a sister, Judith Jennette, also preceded him in death.
Private services will be conducted at the family’s convenience. Trostel, Chapman, Dunbar & Fraley Funeral Home, New Carlisle, Ohio, is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or North Huber Heights Baptist Church in Huber Heights, Ohio.
