— Brenda Kay Turner of Brownsburg died April 25. She was 65.

Born Dec. 21, 1947, in Bowling Green, Ky., she was the daughter of Robert and Ethel McCoy and was raised in Clayton. She married Gerald Turner Jr. and he survives.

Mrs. Turner graduated from Cascade High School. Her first full-time job was at Public Service of Indiana. She then decided on a different career, working for 23 years at JCPenney as a supervisor. Upon leaving that company, she continued to work part-time for Clark Oil and The Hendricks County Flyer.  Also surviving are a daughter, Ashley (Andrew) Schrier; two stepdaughters, Robyn (Doug) Hall and Jennifer (John) Cooper; seven grandchildren, Noble, Dustin, Trevor, Jason, Emily, Mary Katerine, and Sarah Jane; two sisters, Pauletta (Gary) Padgett and Melissa McCoy; and a brother, Fred McCoy.

A brother, Jerry McCoy, preceded her in death.

Services are 7 p.m. May 3 at Matthews Mortuary in Brownsburg, with calling there for three hours prior to services.
