Dorothy L. Turner of Plainfield died Sunday. She was 92.
Born Jan. 4, 1921, in Indianapolis, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Laura Ann Hoffman. She married Robert L. Turner and he preceded her in death.
Mrs. Turner retired in 1989 after 25 years in the executive offices of L.S. Ayres' payroll department. Her memberships included Bridgeport United Methodist Church and the Cataract Yacht Club. She was an avid boater and bowler.
Survivors include a son, Scott (Jennifer) Turner; daughter, Susan (Larry) Nielsen; grandchildren, David Roessler, Whitney Nielsen, and Marc (Dawn) Turner; and great-grandchildren, Jacob and McKenzie Turner.
Also preceding her in death were a stepson, Mark Turner, and sister, Mary Thiesing.
Services are 6:30 p.m. Sept. 5 in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, with visitation from 4 p.m. until service time. A private burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
