Bill J. Tuttle of Pittsboro died Thursday. He was 80.
Mr. Tuttle served eight years in the U.S. Air Force Reserves and was a member of the Brownsburg American Legion.
He worked as a pipeline technician for Texas Eastern, served as a volunteer firefighter for the Brownsburg Fire Department, and owned and operated Tuttle Cycle Sales for many years.
He was an avid boater and outdoorsman who enjoyed spending time at his home on Raccoon Lake.
Survivors include his wife, Beverly Tuttle; children Cathy (Harold K.) Horstmann, Bill (Susie) Tuttle Jr., Denny Tuttle, and Lisa (Matthew) Goodlett; sisters Brenda Salmon, Alta Crediford, and Betty Williams; eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death was a sister, Marjorie Greene.
Services are 11 a.m. Tuesday at Matthews Mortuary in Brownsburg. Interment will be at Brownsburg Cemetery.
