Troy Franklin Pierson Jr. of Danville died Saturday. He was 62.
Born May 2, 1950, in Lubbock, Texas, he was the son of the late Troy Franklin Pierson and Patsy Marie Sutton. He married Rhonda Marie Lofton 39 years ago and she survives.
Mr. Pierson served as a medic for the 7th Calvary 1st Division in the U.S. Army. He was a plumber for B & W Plumbing for 21 years and was currently employed by Justin Dorsey Plumbing. His memberships included The Lighthouse Fellowship of Danville, where he was an elder and ordained minister.
Also surviving are two sons, Nick Pierson and wife Chrissy and Stephen Pierson and wife Erin; a daughter, Marisa Pierson; six grandchildren, Tyler, Haley, Madison, Aubrey, Drew, and Asher; and three sisters, Linda Milligan, Barbara Richardson, and Sandi Ward.
Also preceding him in death was a sister, Brenda Sue; stepmother, Lillian Pierson; and stepfather, Ben Sutton.
Services are 11 a.m. April 4 in The Lighthouse Fellowship, 1200 Sycamore Lane, Danville. Burial with full military honors will be in Danville South Cemetery. Calling is 4-8 p.m. April 3 in The Lighthouse Fellowship. Baker Funeral Home, Danville, is in charge of arrangements.
