Lori Brown DeWeese


— Lori Brown DeWeese of Plainfield died Sunday after a two-and-a-half-year battle with melanoma. She was 46.

Born Sept. 28, 1966, she was the daughter of David and Pat Brown, who survive. She married Brian DeWeese and he also survives.

Mrs. DeWeese was a graduate of Ben Davis High School and Purdue University. She worked 25 years as an assistant superintendent with the Indiana Department of Corrections, as a licensing consultant with FSSA, and owned Room Swap Consignments with her husband. Her memberships included Crossroads Church in Avon.

Also surviving are sons Dylan and Logan; a brother, David Brown; aunts and uncles Beth Harlin and Dale Webster and Sharon and Ted Settles; parents-in-law Pat and Linda DeWeese; brother and sister in-laws Alex and Marcie Brock; two stepsisters, Melissa Turner and Cynthia Mengedoht; a stepbrother, Doug Mengedoht; and several nieces and nephews.

Her mother, Glenda Brown, preceded her in death.

Services are 3 p.m. April 2 at Crossroads Church, with visitation there from 11 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery, Plainfield. Conkle Funeral Home, Avon, is in charge of arrangements.
