Mary Ruth Collier of Coatesville


Mary Ruth Collier of Coatesville died March 3 in her home. She was 75.

Born March 28, 1938, she was the daughter of the late August Goss and Imogene Todd Evans. She married Maurice Fredrick Collier on July 10, 1960. He survives.

Mrs. Collier was a retired school teacher having daughter in Greencastle, Stilesville, Amo, and Mill Creek West Elementary School.

She was a member of Amo Baptist Church where she served as the secretary, pianist, teacher, and on the Christian board. She was also a member of Alpha Delta Kappa, Hendricks County Retired Teachers, Indiana State Retired Teachers, and Tuesday Club.

She enjoyed playing euchre, board games, reading, and using the computer.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by sons, Brent Evan (Tamara), Douglas Alan (Rebecca), and Jeffrey Todd (Laura) Collier; grandchildren, Taryn Elizabeth, Andrew Todd, Mitchell Thomas, Shelby Leeann, Makayla Marie, Blake Evan, Adelynn Renea, Ella Lynne, Laney Joy, and Owen August.

Services will be at 1 p.m. March 6 in Bousley-Hays Funeral Home in Coatesville. Burial will be in Stilesville Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. March 5 in the funeral home.
