Paul Boyles Messer of Rockwall, Texas, died Oct. 10. He was 43.

He married Marsha Skinner and she survives.

Mr. Messer was a native of Florida and lived in Statesboro, Ga., before moving to Rockwall three years ago. He was employed as Texas Consolidation Manager for Hayes Company in Mesquite, Texas and had served in the military. He enjoyed his family, fishing, hunting, watching football, baseball, basketball, and NASCAR, and loved being outdoors.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Whitney Callie Messer and Matthew Paul Madison, both of Savannah, Skylor Colten, Dawson Ridge, and Camden Bryce Messer, all of Plainfield; his parents, Thomas Glenn, Sr., and Betty Bryant Messer, of Statesboro; a grandson, Jagger Michael Way of Savannah; brothers, Thomas Glenn Messer, Jr. of Blountstown, Fla., and James Gordon Messer (Jackie) of Martinez; a sister, Kourtney Messer Dalnodar (Sean) of Royersford, Pennsylvania; nephews, John Messer of Blountstown, Florida, Zach Messer of Augusta, Thomas and Noah Dalnodar of Pennsylvania and John and Rob West of Statesboro; nieces, Kayla, Olivia, Baleigh, and Reese Messer, all of Martinez, Texas; his mother-in-law, Allene Nevil of Statesboro; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Cindy and Leslie West of Statesboro and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Services were held Tuesday at Eastern Heights Baptist Church with Dr. Harry Sherrer officiating.

Burial was in Eastside Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Tommy Messer, Gordon Messer, Sean Dalnodar, Steve Richards, David Price, Michael Pearce, and Andy House.
