Michael Scott Hillard

Michael Scott Hillard died Monday at the age of 45.

Born Oct. 16, 1967, in Beech Grove, he was the son of Ron and Joyce (Gill) Hillard, who survive.

Mr. Hillard was a 1986 graduate of Northwest High School, where he played in the marching and jazz bands and kept stats for the football, basketball, and wrestling teams. Later he coached the girls' softball team there.

Mr. Hillard worked as a bus driver for the Danville Community School Corporation the past 10 years. Prior to that he drove a bus for the Laidlaw Corporation and Washington Township schools. During the summer he worked for Baseball Info Solutions keeping stats for the Indianapolis Indians.

His memberships included Westview Baptist Church.

Also surviving are a sister, Heidi (Greg) Marley; nieces Hadlee and Kayla Brooks; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ed and Bonnie Gill, Marie Hillard Adams, and Del and Rosemary Hillard; a cousin, Gina Hillard; and his Aunt Sis, Mary McElyea Vinson.

Services are 10 a.m. Oct. 5 at Conkle Funeral Home in Avon, with visitation there 4-8 p.m. Oct. 4. Burial will be in Westridge Cemetery.
