Paul Willard Ooley of Plainfield

Paul Willard Ooley of Plainfield died Sept. 18 at the age of 71.

Born July 16, 1942, in Greene County, he was a son of the late Ralph Ooley and Vada (Watkins) Ooley.

Mr. Ooley worked as a steelworker at Schwitzer Corporation and as a shop foreman in the fire sprinkler installation business. He is mostly known in the Plainfield area for his involvement in youth sports (coach, umpire, board member). He enjoyed Indiana basketball, Colts football, and the Atlanta Braves.

Survivors include children David Ooley, Marty Ooley, and Lisa Ooley; grandchildren Troy, Scott, Taylor, Matthew, Megan, Nathan, and Lauren; and siblings Jean Myers, Wanda Olson, and Lloyd Ooley.

Services are 7:30 p.m. Oct. 11 at Kingsway Christian Church, 7981 E. C.R. 100 N., Avon, with calling there for an hour prior to services. Arrangements are entrusted to Conkle Funeral Home, Avon Chapel.
