Edward Thomas Wilson of Plainfield died April 6 at Hendricks Regional Health in Danville.
Born Oct. 24, 1943, in Plainfield, he was a son of Luther and Lucy (Castetter) Wilson. He married Karen Hoffeditz on Dec. 2, 1967, and she survives.
Mr. Wilson graduated from Plainfield High School in 1963. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He worked for Conrail/CSX and retired in 2005.
Additional survivors include a daughter, Kathy Settles (Richard) of Clayton; son, Bradley Wilson (Phaedra) of Olive Branch, Miss.; his mother, Lucy Wilson of Plainfield; brothers John (Beverly) Wilson of Glendale, Ariz., Joe (Dixie) Wilson of Plainfield, Frank (Mary) Wilson of Indianapolis, and Jim (Connie) Wilson of Plainfield; grandchildren Shelby Settles, Jarrett Settles, Justin Wilson, Christiana Smith, Katelyn Wilson, Zachary Wilson, and Isabella Wilson; and a great-grandchild, Trinity Smith.
Preceding him in death was his father.
A memorial service is planned for a later date.
