Norma F. (Surber) Strange of Greencastle died Nov. 7. She was 91.
Born Aug. 25, 1921, in Alburneta, Iowa, she was a daughter of the late Charles E. and Nina Irene Bindhammer Surber.
Mrs. Strange was a local beautician and a homemaker. She was an active member of the Amo United Methodist Church, Amo United Methodist Women, and Women of the Moose.
She enjoyed playing cards, especially euchre, and was a creative artist and seamstress.
Survivors include her children, Candy I. Wilson and husband Doug of Greencastle, Fredrick Donald Strange II and wife Neva of Cloverdale, and J.C. Strange and wife Rhonda of Greencastle; 14 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; a sister, Diane Webster of Indianapolis; several nieces and nephews; and special friends Bonnie Johnson of Indianapolis and Zora Belle Mitchell of Cloverdale.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Fredrick; a brother, Kenneth Surber; and sisters Betty Jean Wood, Beryl Kendall, Blanche Johnston, and Bonnie Mandrell.
Services were Sunday at Bousley-Hays Funeral Home in Coatesville. Following the service, there was a gathering at the home of Candy and Doug Wilson, 94 Autumn Glen Drive, Greencastle.
There was a graveside service Monday at Floral Park Cemetery in Indianapolis.
