Stephen D. Briggs died March 18 in St. Petersburg, Fla. He was 68.
He was born to the late Dorothy (Taylor) and Roger D. Briggs. He married Paula A. Miner and she survives.
Mr. Briggs was a Naval veteran of the Vietnam War, a retired Indianapolis firefighter and auctioneer. His hobbies included music, horses, tennis, and boating.
Also surviving are a son, Justin D. Briggs (Michelle); his furry K-9 son, Harley; a sister, Melanie Briggs Enzweiler; brothers, Thomas Briggs (Janice) and Lance Briggs; stepmother, Joella; three grandchildren, Justin, Brooke, and Hannah; and multiple nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life is scheduled for 1 p.m. April 13 at Country Club of Indianapolis.
