Carl E. McNeely of Tucson, Ariz., died March 29. He had formerly resided in Brownsburg.
Born May 2, 1927, in Greencastle, he was a son of the late Leonidas and Sallie McNeely.
Mr. McNeely was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He retired in 1988 after working 40 years as an engineering technician for Allison Gas Turbine.
He was a life member of Mooresville American Legion Post 103 and a founding member of Mooresville Optimist Club. He was also involved as a Scout leader for Hoosier Trail Council.
Survivors include his wife, Betty McNeely; a son, Michael (Sharon) McNeely; a daughter, Deborah (Robert) Hartigan; a step-daughter, Julie Sherlund; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary J. McNeely.
Graveside services are 11 a.m. Thursday at Forest Hill Cemetery in Greencastle.
