Mervin E. Clark of Plainfield died Monday. He was 88.
Born Jan. 16, 1926, in Urbana, Ill., he was a son of the late Leland and Lola (Wright) Clark. He married Rebecca (Lewman) Clark and she preceded him in death.
Mr. Clark was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He worked 30 years at Allison Division of General Motors, retiring as a supervisor in 1981.
He was a member of the Plainfield Friends Meeting and the Plainfield Eagles.
Survivors include a son, Hal Garland Clark; daughters Sharon L. (Dean) Petree, Debbie D. (Gene) Combs, and Julie A. (Mike) Rugen; a sister, Patty Flanagan; nine grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter.
Preceding him in death were sisters Betty Price and Dorris Gilbert and brothers Roger and Gene Clark.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home in Plainfield. Interment will be at Bainbridge Cemetery.
