— Harwood Y. Prince of Avon died Monday. He was 87.

Mr. Prince was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II and the recipient of two purple hearts.

He worked more than 40 years as a medical records administrator for several hospitals before retiring in 1991.

He was a long time member of Hope United Presbyterian Church in Plainfield, the American Legion, Masonic Lodge, Murat Temple Shrine, and Disabled American Veterans.

His wife, Frances Louise Prince, preceded him in death.

Services are 1 p.m. Thursday at Hope United Presbyterian Church, 1331 Section St., Plainfield. Entombment will follow at West Ridge Park Cemetery.

Calling is for two hours prior to the service at the church.
