Elbert Glenn Burton of Danville died Friday. He was 88.
Born March 18, 1925, in Monticello, Ky., he was a son of the late John and Lula McCutchen Burton.
Mr. Burton worked as a welder before retiring. He was an avid wood carver and gardener.
Survivors include his wife, Goldie (Tedrow) Burton; sisters Josie Prows, Hattie Skaggs, and Grace Poynter; a daughter, Judy Hollingsworth; a son, Danny Burton; six grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchild.
Preceding him in death was his first wife, Lora Hazel (Deaton) Burton; brothers Loran, Homer, and Junior Burton; and a sister, Pearlie Miller.
Services are 1 p.m. Wednesday at Baker Funeral Home in Danville. Interment will follow at the K of P Cemetery in Lizton.
Calling is for two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
