James E. Conover of Plainfield died May 11. He was 69.
Born Oct. 14, 1944, in Columbia, Ky., he was the son of the late Arvin and Emma (Murrell) Conover. He married Arlene (Fisher) Conover and she survives.
Mr. Conover was a charter member of the Christ Church in Plainfield. He worked for RA Fawcett and Associates in Avon for 22 years. Later he worked as a dual machinist and millwright for Olin Bras Corporation for 10 years, retiring in 2003.
Additional survivors include two sons, James E. II and Nicholas E. (Erin) Conover; a daughter, Angela M. (Morris) Mott; a brother, LeRoy Conover; two sisters, Geneva Melson and Barbara York; and four grandchildren, Jace and Abigail Mott and Cora and Jack Conover.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. May 16 in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home in Plainfield. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. May 15 in the funeral home.
