Finous Rodgers Jr. of Belleville died March 31. He was 82.
Born July 23, 1931, in Webster County, Ky., he was the son of the late William and Zeulah (Hunt) Rogers. He married Imah J. (Thurmond) Rogers and she survives.
Mr. Rodgers was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a model maker for Steward-Warner Corporation for 47 years, retiring in 1999.
He was a member of the Bridgeport Masonic Lodge 162 where he was Past Master. He was an honorary member of the Plainfield, Belleville, and Stilesville Masonic Lodges; the Scottish Rite, and was a Kentucky Colonel.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, David E. (Kim) Rodgers; a daughter, Sheila A. (Charles) Henderson; a sister-in-law, Esther Rodgers; three grandchildren, Brandy and Travis Rodgers and Erin Henderson; two great grandchildren, Tyler and Jessica Rodgers; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. April 4 in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home in Plainfield. Entombment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. April 3 in the funeral home.
