John B. Finlay of Danville died Jan. 11. He was 58.
Born May 30, 1955, in Fortaleaza Ceara, Brazil in South America, he was the son of the late John and Betty (Berry) Finlay. He married Sharon Finlay and she survives.
Mr. Finlay was a 1975 graduate of Danville Community High School. He was a computer technician at IUPUI for 14 years and at Danville Community School Corporation for 15 years before retiring.
He was an active member of West Bridge Church in Danville.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by children, John Alan (Rebecca) Finlay of Mooresville, Nathan (Sarah) Finlay of Plainfield, and Kari (John) Sanders of Lakeland, Tenn.; grandchildren, John Jay and Asher Allen Sanders, Lauren Rose and Breckin Michael Finlay; brother , Timothy James (Jeanette) Finlay of Chicago; sisters, Dorothy Ann (David) Hall and Miriam Elizabeth (Mark) Olinger, all of Orlando, Fla.; step-mother, Phyllis Finlay of Plainfield; step-brothers, Jim Howell of Orlando and Paul Howell of Plainfield; and step-sister, Diana Durling of Mooresville.
Services will be 10 a.m. Jan. 15 in West Bridge Church. Burial will be in New Winchester Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Jan. 14 in the church.
