Lawrence Junior Skaggs of Pittsboro

Lawrence Junior Skaggs of Pittsboro died Jan. 7. He was 62.

Born Sept. 1, 1951, in Houston, Mo., he was the son of the late Lawrence and Bernice (Walker) Skaggs. He married Jeannie E. Brothers Sept. 6, 1969, in Indianapolis. She survives.

Mr. Skaggs had lived in Pittsboro since 1968. He was a dry wall finisher for Proehl Dry Wall.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Cathy Skaggs; brothers, Dennis and Rollie Skaggs; sisters, Angela Massey and Laura Booker; and two grandchildren.

Services will be 4 p.m. Jan. 11 at David A. Hall Mortuary in Pittsboro.

Visitation will be 2 p.m. until time of service in the mortuary.
