Marie Hopkins of Plainfield

Marie Hopkins of Plainfield died Dec. 25. She was 98.

Born Dec. 8, 1915, in Morgan County, she was the daughter of the late Alex and Clara Chandler. She married William Hopkins and he preceded her in death.

Mrs. Hopkins was a homemaker. She was a member of the Plainfield Friends Meeting; Naomi Rebekah Lodge 115, where she was a past Noble Grand; Wa-Pe-Ke-Way Chapter of DAR, where she was a past District Deputy of District 10; Ladies Auxiliary of Harris 400; and Fairfield Home Economics.

Survivors include her daughters, Elaine Schultz and Anna Hopkins; grandchildren, Sandi Copeland

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Nancy Copeland.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Jan. 3 in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Maple Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Jan. 2 in the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Plainfield Friends Meeting.
